Nicest folks around. Food is good and service is excellent. They let us take our dog on the outdoor patio and even fed him hush puppies. This place is homey and welcoming.
Cozy friendly atmosphere. Shrimp was delicious and easy to peel and eat. Hope to go back soon.
Our food was good except my husbands last piece of fish tasted like bleach. The service definitely could use improvement. I felt like they were in a rush to get us out. We didn't receive the appetizer and the server just said oh I'll just take it off the bill. Didn't even ask if we still wanted it. She also came at the end of the meal to do refills when it had been a while since we were out of drinks. She was standing at the bar on her phone with another customer instead of getting off her phone to check us out she remained on the phone. Even the lady that checked us out apologized for the service. That was our first time. Maybe if we ever go back it will be better.
Legitimately one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Our party came in with a slightly intoxicated person who crossed the line a couple times. Not only did they tolerate it, they had as much fun as we all did. The food came out in no time and was excellent. Homemade bread, gator bites, shrimp, perch, scallops and grits were all prepared perfectly and tasted awesome. I will definitely be back. Thanks again to everyone at Catfish Johnnys!
I love Catfish Johnny's! The interior set-up and vibe is awesome. Definitely different than any restaurant in San Diego, which is where we're from. One thing on my "Florida to-do list" was to eat Gator, and I fulfilled that here. COOL spot!
